How To Kill People With Kindness?

      November 14, 2016

I just realised that yesterday was World Kindness Day. This day is celebrated every 13th November. Maybe it is quite late to share a post on this, but again I just realised my juniors and I discussed about Rasulullah's kindnesses as well yesterday. So, why not sharing them with you guys here :)

      Credit to https://www.randomactsofkindness.org/

Selena Gomez's Kill Em With Kindness.

Have you listened to this song? I'm not a fan of Selena Gomez but I do listen to her songs and find out this one to have affection to me.

      Your lies are bullets
      Your mouth's a gun
      No war and anger
      Was ever won
Put out the fire before igniting
      Next time you're fighting
      Kill 'em with kindness
      Kill 'em with kindness
Kill 'em, kill 'em, kill 'em with kindness
      Kill 'em with kindness
      Kill 'em with kindness
Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead now

I am not sure if I've been in any significant backstabbing events, maybe yes and I don't care much. But, I don't want to describe other people's weakness or sins. I personally have a lot of them.

Do we realised that most of quarrels start with arguments? Arguments are good only if they are done in appropriate ways - no hate words or bad words. I do agree that most arguments that we can find online with those b*, s* words (mostly in Twitter) are though-provoking even though I don't like those words. However, I believe the arguments are better to be conveyed in another way - kindness.

There is a story that is very significant to me.

I think you have listened to this, before. Or maybe I've shared in my blog?

There was a blind Jew beggar who always cursed Rasulullah SAW and said that he is a liar. Even though this old blind man don't even know how Prophet Muhammad looks like, he kept on swearing at him. When Rasulullah received the news, he went to visit the old man and helped feeding him every day.

After the death of Rasulullah, the old man kept wondering why the good man did not come to feed him. Rasulullah's companion (Abu Bakr) went to continue Rasulullah's habit towards that old man when suddenly the man got angry at Abu Bakr. He realised the way Abu Bakar feed him was different than Rasulullah.

"No! Do not lie to me! The man was so nice to hold hands, and the food he gave was very easy to chew, because he softened it to me..."

Abu Bakr started to cry and explain that the man who visit the blind man was Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The Jew beggar was shocked and said the syahadah. T_T

A good attitude is the one capturing someone's heart.

We don't have to go that far, just imagine ourselves. Do we want other people to say harsh words or bully us mentally, physically?

      Nope.
If yes, there's something wrong with you.

So, why are we doing those bad habits to others?

      Kindness Boomerang.
The video above is very famous I am sure you've watched it at least once if your life time. Why not, watch it again?

Kindness is not only verbally, but physically as well.

To help the blind crossing the road is kindness.
To hold the door open for stranger is kindness.
To share the food we have with poor people is kindness.
To help taking care of neighbour's house when he is outstation is kindness.
To make donation is also kindness.
To help our parents with the house core is kindness.

      And...

      To smile is kindness.

Happy Belated World Kindness Day :)

What I Love About On The Way To The Airport [DRAMA]

      November 12, 2016

This drama (OTWTTA) ended last Thursday.

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
On The Way To The Airport

It became viral on social media (at least on my Facebook news feed) one time ago because of Air Asia and the scenes in Malaysia. Honestly I am not that interested to watch because of the drama looks like focusing on this argument:

      • “Is it possible to have a dignified relationship in the world of MARRIED men and women?” - Soompi

But it is kinda significant to me as I watched an episode of this drama when I was literally on my way to the airport

You can read more about the synopsis here, in Siqah's post

      1. Airports are my place for emotions.

Well, they can be fun when travelling around or go back to Malaysia for summer holidays. And airports can also be sad with parting and saying goodbyes.

I spend time in the airports at least few times a year. I am not sure if I will have the chances to fly a lot when I start working soon, but honestly airports have the soft spot in my heart. One of the memorable moment about airports was the first time I slept on the cold tiled floor of Madrid Airport. It was the first time I traveled around Europe with at least 10 other friends, we divided ourselves into two groups - taking turns to sleep and guard.

Although it looks illogical, I love how the drama shows emptiness of the airport (the one in Korea). It is not easy though to catch views of airports without a single person, I think?

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
      Empty....

      2. I am not into the idea of extra-marital relationships itself, but...

This is a mature topic to think about, not simple lovey dovey story of a boy and a girl.

Having an affair is totally not good (actually, it is seriously ill) for the health of someone's marriage. But, after watching few early episodes of the drama, my thought changed. It is different between having an affair and having a friendship with opposite sex.

I can see how hard both leads to control their thought to remain focus in their kinda-broken families with their spouses behaving like that. I just knew the reason why her pilot husband and his psycho wife have their attitude upon reaching to few last episodes of the drama! Haha.

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
      Too late.

Emotion is something that is hard to discuss and deal with. A comment I read on this drama is that, "this is wrong, so wrong, but it feels so right! They are not supposed to be together, but they are clearly meant for each other." Love is hard. :p

This is what make it a unique drama.

      3. Get a glimpse of a stewardess's life

I have no friends working as stewardesses, surprisingly I met many backpackers working in aviation anyway. To sit in the same row of emergency exit is totally not my preference (although the space for leg is bigger), but this is where the stewardess sit as well. I've once sitting opposite a stewardess, it was awkward but fun to watch how she did the 'cross-check' - whatever it is called.

In this drama, it is amazing to watch the struggles of a stewardess, for example the main female lead. To witness how hard it is to balance between work and family, it increases my high respect towards working mothers. :)

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
I love this scene so much, dunno why. It is just about opening the aircraft's door, but I have no experience seeing it in real life. Haha.

      4. The beauty of Malaysia with Korean cinematography.

Honestly, I have no idea why Malaysia looks stunning in this drama. It's not like I've never been to Putrajaya before but this drama makes the place looks surprisingly new and just wow.

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
      Masjid Putrajaya

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
      Masjid Besi, I guess?

What I Love About Korean Drama On The Way To The Airport
      The river.

      5. Discussion on serious matter.

For me myself, assumption kills a relationship.

Same like Suri Hati Mr. Pilot (SHMP), I can say that in every relationship, trust and communication are the most important points to take note. For every confusion, we need to discuss and come out with solution that both parties can agree with.

After reading Siqah's blog post on SHMP, there are many secrets kept by the characters in both dramas. But, I can say I love interactions between people in OTWTTA more than SHMP. Like, how the male lead of the drama fly all the way from Jeju to Seoul to discuss the important issue instead of texting or assuming. In OTWTTA, I can understand why Soo Ah keep things from her husband, but not Warda in SHMP. :p

      -------------------------------

Well, lots of moral values are portrayed in every dramas or movies I guess. Values on friendship, family, work etc. It is just how we look at the changes of people's attitude and then, reflect ourselves. Evaluate ourselves if we have those kind of attitudes we hate watching them on the screen.

It's a happy ending drama after all. :)

I am personally satisfied with the ending, yeay! Do you watch this drama?

6 Reasons Why Road Trips Are Awesome!

      November 11, 2016

      (removed / edited from hanisnina.com)

Maryam just released her video on our previous trip to Hallstatt, Austria and I must say that it feels very nostalgic to remember all those moments. So, here you go, the wrap of our road trip! :)

I learned a lot of things throughout the trips I've been in so far :) And I would love to encourage you to plan your road trip, soon, maybe as the first one! It will be awesome! InsyaAllah. :D

Here are what I think people can 'expect' or get benefits from road trips. Short distance trip will be good enough for a kick start! yeah.

      1. Road Trips Are Economical and Flexible.

People already know that last minute plane tickets will be way too expensive. Yeah, I admit that fact. Road trips will be the most suitable for travelers with sudden plan. Just get your car ready with full fuel, get the engine start - and there you go. :)

With plane, you can get directly to your destination without the need to think of which route to go (unless you need to transit somewhere). But, on road trips, you can plan any routes and stop at any places that you think are amazing to enjoy.

Maybe, take a break at the side of the road to enjoy the sunset?

      2. Precious Moments with Travel Mates

      Why Road Trips Are Awesome?
      Why Road Trips Are Awesome?

Well, we can expect more opportunity to spend time with the buddies traveling with us in the road trip. Just imagine, we stay in the car for at least few hours and again, another few hours - so, who wants to keep silent with each other without conversation.

It will be nice to share stories, create inside jokes, sing many songs, keep making fun so that drivers will not be sleepy.

I heard somewhere that one of the ways to get to know each other is by travelling together.

      3. Patience Can Be Developed.

Sometime, you can feel like driving is an infinity thing to do in the road trips. You keep asking when are you going to reach your destination. Moving for only few kilometer will be felt like hours.

Many unexpected incidents may happen, like experiencing flat tire, getting problems in border between countries, losing card to pay the road tolls. I've been in those situations, and thanks to all of us for keeping each other calm to face everything :)

      4. Adrenaline Rush of Driving Skills.

I never imagined myself driving in a busy, unfamiliar city center like Istanbul, Rome etc with those impatient taxi drivers who keep honking at other drivers.

I still can't believe I managed to reverse the car on a hilly, narrow road. I am still amazed of how people can survive driving on roads after snow storm, surely with non-shoveled snow or on slippery roads with snow.

      Why Road Trips Are Awesome?
That are adventures to me :)
And that also keep me driving carefully.

      5. Learn Map-Reading Skills.

This point applies to people like me - a girl who can not read maps, generally said by people. Well, I must be honest to say that from my opinion, I agree that boys read maps better. But, it doesn't mean girls always get lost in where ever we go.

Other than that, you will know some unknown places at certain countries. For example, in case of without GPS, you can get to the border of countries by driving towards the nearest town to the border in which the direction is shown on signboards.

      6. You Can Pack As Much As You Want.

If you love reading, you can brings books instead of digital book. If you love to take pictures with different coats, you can bring more coats. You can bring more snacks too :)

But, it does not mean you can fill the car with unused stuffs. Well, the lighter the car, the better it is (especially for fuel), I guess.

      ----------------------------------

Road trips can be tiring, really. Driving in the middle of night with flash of light from opposite cars can be eyes-torturing. Sleep in the car with not good posture may cause pain.

But believe me, once you've been on road trips, you will look forward for more. :)

p/s - Anyway, feel free to add more points if you want to share your own experiences. I would definitely love to read yours. :)

[PHOTOS] Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria

      November 10, 2016

It was a mixture of planned & impromptu trip actually. I had this thought in mind since last summer break, while re-watching Maryam's vlogs for so many times, I've lost count. :p The plan to travel with everyone, like we used to do during first & second year. Since then, everyone has one's own plan for holidays.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
      The lake.

Just to share with you (again), our exam system is different than in Malaysia. The final exams are orally and there will be few spaces only for every exam dates (in which we need to fight for the dates). I personally call it "SIS war". Student A may book a date on Day 1, while Student B may have an exam on Day 3. So, basically most of us will not have exams on the same day, that's one of the reason you always see me travelling solo. Some may finish their exam earlier and they make use of the free time earlier. Some may finish exam later and only then he/she starts travelling.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
Why road trip? Haha, the same answer. Last minute plan, travelling by car is much more cheaper. One way journey from Prague takes around 5 hours, since we started from Hradec Kralove, it will be around 7 hours. It's better compared to train / bus. Some may even take 11 hours!

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
Impromptu. We managed to secure a car just few hours before the trip. Lol. It was hard to find a 7-seaters car in Hradec Kralove. We even planned to rent 2 separate cars - but, the cost will be higher especially the petrol/diesel/parking/vignette

It was my first time dealing with
this company, actually recommended by one of my favourite senior, she even ask me to request for this specific car. And wow, we got it. The car uses diesel (much more cheaper I can say).

I wish I knew this company years before. So we could go road trip to Istanbul, Turkey and cities in Italy together, I mean the 7 of us. T_T

Kalau-kalau ni mainan syaitan, syuh syuh.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
Tadaaa, our rented car - Ssangyoung. Actually we rented this car from a company in Prague. Luckily, it is an automatic car, so, we can have many drivers! Some of us are not familiar with manual cars.
We started our journey around 5.30am and reach Hallstatt about noon. Hallstatt is actually a small town (with many tourists) and the parking areas are not so many. We can check the availability of the parking along the road, there will be signboards with numbers of empty parking. P1, P2, P3. Oh, we need to pay for the parking as well.

The first attraction is to enjoy the view from the top of Hallstatt. There are salt mine, salt shop and skywalk. You can get up there either by this funicular OR you can hike up.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
      The funicular.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
Prices for funicular. It depends if you want a return ticket or one way ticket or combined ticket with entrance to salt mine. If you are a student, please make sure to bring along your student ID, the lady really check our ID. T_T

      View from the funicular.

The skywalk is also known as the viewing platform - UNESCO World Heritage View. To get to the platform, you can either use stairs or simply take the lift. :)

I think I know the building before, but I forget about this. T_T

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
There is also a salt mine on top of the hill (I am not sure if this is a mountain or a hill). The salt mine is still functioning and the income from salt production was given to the kings and emperors in Vienna for centuries. Not sure about it now.

Salt was an important preservative. Well, nowadays we still use salt in our daily food. One thing for sure, salt is still mined in Hallstatt till now. In the picture above you can read 'Archaeology in Hallstatt', it is interesting to say that all organic objects within the mine have survived, due to preservative effects of salt.

      Salt Shop

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
You can buy Hallstatt's salt here, in this shop.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
They make variety of salt products with other ingredients. Like salt + pepper, salt + cinnamon, salt + chili peppers etc.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
Salt with tomato + mozarella, salt with garlic.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
They sell other common souvenirs - books, keychain, fridge magnet etc.

Done with the hill. We took the funicular to return to the base and then, we walked to Centrum (the lake basically).

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
The houses here reminded me of Bled. They look similar :)

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
If you drive from Prague, you will reach Hallstatt once you pass this tunnel.

Impromptu Road Trip to Hallstatt, Austria
      Almost night in Hallstatt.

The sunset was around 4.30. Approaching night time, we decided to leave Hallstatt for our hotel. The hotel is about 90km away, in Rohrmoos-Untertal. We managed to get an apartment for € 72 for 6 persons. We thought we can add another person with not so much extra charge. Because this is a vacation, we hope everyone will get a good sleep with comforters for each of us. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't want to provide extra sheets and even charge us extra € 20. T_T Not to forget, € 1.50 for city tax per person.

Nasiblaa apartment dia selesa. Except, no free wifi. LOL

It's okay, disconnect to connect, right?

Some of us volunteered to prepare for breakfast and food to eat along the journey back home. There you go, egg sandwiches and fried mee.

Kisah Saluran Pencernaan - Polyp and Kissing

      November 9, 2016

I was spending 5 hours in endoscopic center in my hospital yesterday, standing the whole time there. Managed to watch at least 4 procedures involving this endoscopic thing.

      Morning meeting.

I will try to share the medical points in Malay okay :)

      1. Apa itu saluran pencernaan?

In English, it is digestive tract or medically called gastrointestinal tract (GIT).
      Source - Google

Susah jugak buat medical post in Malay ni. Hehe.

      2. Macam mana laluan makanan dalam saluran ni?

Makanan masuk melalui mulut (well, semua orang tahu kot). Except in few cases, bantuan pemakanan untuk dapatkan nutrient diberi melalui hidung or straight ke saluran darah.

      • Stomach (perut) - cernakan protein
      • Small intestine (usus kecil) - ada 3 parts (duodenum, jejunum & ileum)
      • Large intestine (usus besar) - nama bahagian dia bergantung pada posisi dia
      • Rectum
      • Anus (dubur)

      3. Apa tu endoscopy? Apa kaitan endoscopy dengan saluran pencernaan?

Okay, kat hospital ada banyak cara nak tengok organ dalaman kita. Paling selalu orang buat ialah Ultrasound (selamat, senang, murah). X-ray pun common. CT / MRI bukan senang-senang nak buat, biasanya sebab kos.

Sorry, saya tak dapat nak share dari Malaysian Health Care System (not yet exposed well to it). Kalau kat Czech, CT / MRI is agak common jugak (mungkin faktor belanja perubatan ditanggung oleh insurans)

      Back to endoscopy.

Diagnostic & Therapeutic gitu.

      Caranya ialah:

      Upper and Lower Endoscopy
      Source - http://www.alltohealth.com/all-you-need-to-know-about-an-endoscopy/

      Upper endoscopy

      Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

      5. Jadi, apa kaitan polyp dengan kissing?

      Hohoho.

      ...

Ada patient semalam ni memang suka bersembang. Masa doktor tengah buat colonoscopy, doktor explain apa yang kita boleh nampak melalui kamera tu.

Dia salah faham dengan terms ni. Hohooooo

      Polip vs polib

      Polip in Czech means polyp
      Polib in Czech means kissing

Tu je. Tapi boleh jadi bahan gelak-gelak la semalam. Lol.
