Snacks From Taiwan, Thanks Luke!
October 8, 2016
I am glad I met many good friends while surviving in Czech for the past 5 years and counting. As a person who don't care much about friendship before, I realized that having friends is something I should appreciate. I cared about my studies A LOT when I was in schools. I cannot say I regret that ...but, I do, a bit.
I will start to make posts of appreciation regularly for people who leave meaningful sparks in my heart for anything. :)
#finalyearsyndrome
Jawahir, Heidi, Luke, me. |
These snacks are from Luke, a good friend of mine from Taiwan.
He looks younger than his age though. Please guess how old is he and comment below yea?
I still remember he was one of the first international friends that I made during first year. Already a degree holder, yet he continues with another degree.

Dear Luke,
Thanks for being a good study partner throughout our medical school. We spent lots of time in cafes for discussion - well that's the only place we can discuss things out loud and nobody will ask us to slow down our voices. Thanks again for sharing good tips to understand medical stuffs. Thanks for being open for discussion on comparison of religions. You are a good Christian (I forgot you are Catholic or else ouch) and I can say you are a great person with broad general knowledge. When you literally knows a lot about Islamic history as well - all those empires, most of prophets, the Islamic ways of life yada yada - I am so impressed.
Being an Asian just like me, I think that's what make you stay closer to Malaysians than others. Haha. Thanks for being late to school just like I did. Thanks for sitting next to me in many classes. Thanks for giving moral supports during the hard times.
I'm still learning to appreciate friendship, so please understand I'm not that good to express myself. :)
Do keep in touch after we graduate soon. I wish you all the best wherever you may settle down in the future - Germany or return to Taiwan. Do invite me and the rest of us for your wedding. Haha.

Awesome snacks. |
No worries about the snacks. They are awesome, I already tried the two on the right and the remaining is the cake. Thanks for even checking the ingredients before giving them to me :D
p/s - I am having #finalyearsyndrome now when I feel like taking pictures of random things around me even though it is just a tree, normal tree.

Gifts From Lebanon :D
October 7, 2016
This happened less than a month ago, just few days before I flew back to Malaysia.
Did you guys know a Facebook (FB) group named Backpackers Buddies Malaysia (BBM)? This is one of my favorite place to spend my time on FB. Hmm, I can say FB is more meaningful for me with the existence of this group. Hehe.
I had the experience of meeting a lot of cool people from this group, hmm better to say backpackers. :D It may sound weird to you, like I'm meeting random strangers. But, don't worry. Before I met anyone from that group, I will do basic check up on his / her FB. Ouch. Just for precautions. If the backpackers are guys, usually I will update the tour to my parents and close friends.

They are so sweet :) |
Oh yeah, Lebanon is called as Lubnan for Malaysians. I'm not familiar with this country. Embarrassingly, I need to check the map to know its location though. T_T It shares the border with Syria and Palestine.
I feel good meeting new people, especially the one outside my course circle. Like, no medicine talks, no hospital experiences. I do share a bit of my life journey here in Czech.
So far, I met many backpackers from aviation, a few from engineering, banking, education as well. If I accidentally met any Malaysians around Prague on the spot, I don't know why I love to offer myself to take them around (if I'm free that time though). :D

Meet Abg Wan (red shirt) & Qayum. Photobombed by another tourist. |
The funny thing was they didn't even know each other before this, yet they travel together. :D See, that's backpacking style. Haha.
Oh yea, they are Malaysians. Qayum is the one working in Lebanon, while Abg Wan works in Malaysia and they met in Amsterdam :D
p/s - If you guys are coming to Prague, please let me know :) We can meet up and I can guide you around if needed.

Belajar Dari Kisah Pesakit Fibroid Rahim
October 6, 2016

Nur ni tak rasa sakit apa-apa pun, cumanya masa medical check-up, secara tak sengaja doktor jumpa fibroid ni.

Malangnya, takde rezeki Nur mengandung.

Bukan satu baby, tapi kembar!
Doktor tu tanya kitorang, "So, what do you think of the moral of this story?"
Pastu dia yang jawab.
Doctors are just normal human beings. We can try our best, we can expect things within our limits of thinking, we can recommend procedures of what we think the best for the patients. But, everything turns back to the Highest One up there. God.
p/s - Maaf lah kalau tak faham, saya menaip ni pun dah nak tersengguk T_T
Till next post insyAllah.

Baked Fish Fillets - SUPER DUPER EASY!
October 4, 2016
I am a seafood lover :)
However, as you may know, Czech is a land-lock country. Don't ever expect any cheap seafood - neither raw nor cooked.
A kilogram of frozen pack of medium-sized prawns can simply costs you around 400kc = RM 60+
Fresh fishes are hard to get unless you live in countrysides where there are lakes / pool full of them. Even, you need a license to go fishing. Haha. Oh, you can get kinda 'fresh' carp during Christmas season as carps are traditional food for Czech people on Christmas Eve.

Baked Fish Fillets |
I baked this for lunch. My left hand has not recovered yet, I just don't feel good to use it on heavy duty. Nak study pun kebas, apatah lagi potong bawang tumis bla bla bla. Malas jugak sebenarnya. So, the alternative is put everything into the oven. Jadilah makanan niii :D
It is very easy. Really.
- Cut the defrost fish fillets into medium pieces.
- Sprinkle the fillets and vegetables with paprika and black pepper.
- Leave for 5 minutes.
- Put the vegetables into the baking tray, then put fish fillets on top of them.
- Squeeze half a lemon onto them.
- Leave in to cook in the oven with temperature 150 degree Celsius for 30 minutes.
While waiting, you can just proceed with whatever task you are doing.
See, senang pun senang. Sedap pun sedap. Untuk tekak saya lah :)
Oh yea, brokoli tu rasa macam chips :D Boleh la try kalau nak control diri taknak makan chips.

Ataturk Havalimani Airport, Istanbul, Turkey |
Staying at the airport is a 'boring' thing to do. And it is even worst when the free WiFi given is only for 2 hours! T__T

Travel light. Konon. |
€55 for a night in 5* hotel!
So, how to request for free meal?
![]() |
how the care point looks like. |
2. Show your boarding pass, wait for the officer to process your request. Then, you will get a paper like this.
![]() |
yep, an A4 paper. Haha |
3. Find the given kiosk/restaurant. In my case, I was only allowed to get meal from Freshly Baked. So.... this is the place. Oh yeah, the meal vouchers are for food from kiosks / restaurants in the food court.

Freshly Baked. |
4. Show the meal voucher and ask what can you get. They will serve you :)

I had this for breakfast. :) |
So, chicken sandwich and orange juice for breakfast.

Till then,
I started the school session yesterday, will try to update the blog as frequently as I can.
:)
Take care!

[PHOTOS & VIDEO] Sně?ka, Czech :)
September 28, 2016
I shared about day trip plan to Sně?ka, Czech on previous post. :) My third time here was at the end of summer 2016, so the weather was just nice, shiny yet windy. Alhamdulillah, my previous 2 trips here were during winter, you can simply imagine snows EVERYWHERE, with icy trails, winter boots, wet socks, white views.
Okay, as I promised before, here are few other photos taken during the hiking trip.
8th September 2016. Thursday.
Keep calm, enjoy and say subhanAllah :) :) :)
View of Poland - told ya we were at the border of Poland-Czech |
Still confuse to differentiate pine, spruce, fir haha |
Just use normal running shoes this time. I expect no snow. |
The GREEN hiking trail. |
Amanita muscaria - kinda dangerous mushroom that can cause hallucination. Careful not to eat! We learned a lot about mushrooms as there're many mushroom poisoning cases in the hospital |
First pit-stop. We had light lunch here. |
Cable car in the middle of forest. |
Spruce trees I think? |
Shadows of us :D |
Just random photo, I think. |
Mesmerizing isn't it? :D :D |
Walking down. The background is the restaurant if I am not mistaken. |
SubhanAllah! |
The fastest among us. |
See the poles? We assumed this pathway is on Polish side, while the other side of the poles is Czech side. |
Llama, looks like camel + sheep a bit. |
Countryside. |
Transit Svoboda n. Upou. There was an uncle, wondering why we took pictures in front of the bus. It's just a bus, he said. Haha. |
Group we-fie. |
On our way going down. |
I just love the green view :) |
Near the cable car station, at the end of hiking trail. |
It was a very nice, flexible trip. :)
