      An Autumn Forest

      October 10, 2014

      Hey, finally I'm here!

      Assalamualaikum.

      I miss blogging. T_T

Lately, I realised I keep mostly everything inside or just telling certain people, it's tiring. Many things happened in short duration of time. Good things, not good things. Just, I think I experienced many different situations I had never been before. Learnt how to handle things; professionally. Learnt to consider other people's feeling, not sure to think of my own or not. Learnt to put myself into other people shoes and see things from their point of view. Learnt to be a better listener. Learnt to be a better daughter to my parents. Yeah, everything is a process of learning. Continuously.

Sometimes we can never get things the way we want. Because Allah always give us in the way we need.

I appreciated this quote so much. It supposed to be posted since July, but I'm not sure why it remained in my draft till now. Maybe, some things are better left silent?

Aha, by the way, it is autumn now! You can see leaves falling around, beautiful colours - mesmerizing! I can't really say which seasons do I love the most. I keep changing my preferences and I may love all seasons! I was doing a random quiz and I got this. That's why this entry is named that way :D

And I think it kinds of suit me. A deep person, maybe? I can't really expressed myself and often get other people misunderstand things I want to say. Sobss T_T

I leave this ayah for us to ponder.
And autumn, you are so something!

Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. 6;59

      "Muslims must not surrender to sadness;
rather, they are to trust in Allah
and feel the peace of mind
      that comes with knowing that
Allah will always help them. "

      - Maryam: An Exemplary Muslim Woman

She showed complete faith in Allah.
      And me?
      I must do the same.

      Usaha, doa, tawakal, istiqamah.
      InsyaAllah.

Pray For MH370 | Cycling Around HK

      March 13, 2014

People is now still in confusion of where is actually MH370. I am confused too, especially after reading so many news of too much theories of what had happened. I will never say that theories are wrong, since usually from the theories, we can get the answers. But I don't really agree when people start sharing confidently what they read and saw - the UNCONFIRMED news.

I think me myself tend to do the same, yeah, people got excited. But, let's us try to keep quite with something we are not sure.

      source ; google

Theories may be true and sure they can be wrong. And even, most of the times our knowledge cannot exceed certain limit, and that is where Allah's knowledge starts, guys.

"Di mana sains berakhir , disitulah kuasa ALLAH bermula "

"Where science ends, is where Allah's powers begin"

Such a strong wisdom words from experienced pilot, Kapten Norudin.

      Allah gave us this incident to let us think back;
Are we strong enough to control the world?
Are we knowledgeable enough to know what happened all over the world?
Are we power enough to see the whole world?

Maybe we can, but we cannot depend on ourselves, and nobody can do all of them alone without any helps from others; people, machines, satellites, transports. But, Allah is capable to do them, himself, alone. If He said "kun fayakun", anything that He want, will be there.

We are so tiny and weak, people. And don't forget that true fact! :(

He may delay answering your prayer for a number of reasons; one is to test your trust in Him. Another reason is that Allah knows when it is best to answer. Allah also may delay the answer to make us work harder so we are prepared for it. - suhaibwebb.com

WAllahualam, He is the only One who knows everything.

While people around the world gather together and pray for the safety of airplane, suddenly we are shocked with the news of the presence of 'bomoh' in order to find the missing plane. Which is totally ridiculous and this had brought shame to the country and Muslims. It is totally opposite with what we believe in. Please, put all our hopes to Allah, He is our Lord. T__T

I still remember when I went cycling with my Norwegian friends around Hradec Kralove. We shared a lot of stories and I think that was the first time we talked a lot; together. I am quite silent, especially when I need to converse in English. One of the topics was about how to live different cultures as a person. My friends have families; of course in Norway and also in other countries in which they have 2 different culture backgrounds from both their parents' sides. I can feel they are strong enough to live with that, when sometime one of the culture cannot go along with the other culture.

And they asked me, what will happen if any of us (Malay Muslims) get married to someone who are not with the same background. I just explained what I know and understand. As long as the cultures do not opposite to what Islam teaches us, it is okay to continue it. Like Chinese New Year, there is nothing wrong to celebrate it when it gathers family to spend time together. Then, I shared about superstition. (Sorry, I forgot this word actually) This is quite hard for me, because literally, superstitions include something that we believe/do and we cannot see it. But that is what come cross my mind at that time. T_T

I said, as a Muslim, we only believe in one God and we only ask help from Him. While superstitions are practice of worship and seeking help from the adored objects - like what are commonly used by shamans (bomoh). And also by people who are friends with evil spirits, sorcerers and fortune tellers.

Muslims, does not matter from what backgrounds, cannot practice anything deviate/contrary to the faith, laws and morals of Islam.

"Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin" 4;48

I gained a lot from my cycling trip. Alhamdulillah, Allah surrounded me with people with good personalities and from them, I learnt something. The words I can not forget; 'have a good relationship with God'. T__T

      Evening Walk with Atan

      March 2, 2014

      "Mummy, where is this place?"

I walked with Atan along the river this evening. Like; we do not really walk together - because he seemed to be afraid with outside environment. Haila, maybe he used to be a house-cat for almost 6 months (his age) and do not go out often.

So, along the way; sometimes I brought him on my shoulder, sometimes I just brought him in his bag; opened bag, dengan kepala dia terkeluar lol, sometimes I just leave him and let him walk to me.

"I don't want to leave my bag, mummy!"

See, he did not want to walk :p

It was hard; because I had my bike on the other hand. The weather was just nice, maybe today is unofficially the 1st day of Spring. 10 degree Celcius. Just nice.

      Lazy cat T_T
I unintendedly 'discovered' my new path for a walk in HK, yeah not the usual park behind the faculty (?imkovy sady), not the park at sungai bercabang (Jiráskovy sady), and not the one in front of Ad-Deen (?i?kovy sady). Let me share this with the map. Maybe it can be the next site for picnic? p/s - but dogs are everywhere there T_T

I guess Czech people really care about the health & precious time with the family. I saw lots of couples, some with baby strollers, some with kids and bicycles, some with poles to walk, some with dogs and I am the only one with cat; grabbing their attention actually. :p But Atan is kind of suka buat muka mengada, gedik, pandai buat orang simpati - suka la tuuu orang Czech puji dia krásná sambil pegang-pegang bulu dia yang lebat. Haha.

Oh myyy, HK is just wonderful enough to be explored and treasured.

While doing my ODOJ (one day one juzuk), I set up my camera for time lapse of the sunset. Yeah, I did really expect for it to come out beautifully, I mean, every moments of the sunset. But, mashAllah, I found another interesting movements - the clouds! SubhanAllah. <3

"It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice" - 30:48

Expect the unexpected. Lesson learnt. Sometimes, we expect too much; on something to be just like our wishes. Then, Allah give us something else; maybe not that 'bad' but since it is different than what we want, we always say that Allah do not hear our prayers. Allahuakbar. He is the best planner and He always know the best for us.

See, eventhough I was not expecting the clouds (there was no clouds actually when I first set it up), Allah still give me the chance to watch it. :) Both are beautifulllll enough for me!

      Pardubice, Czech

      March 1, 2014

I had free afternoon & evening on last Thursday; always wanted to go anywhere; I mean I want to be on a journey, regardless of the destination. You can do many things actually when you are on something you don't drive it yourself - bus, train, aeroplane. My target was to finish my reading that day, and it took approximately 60 minutes of reading and maybe more minutes for further understanding.

So, why not get onto any train/bus and go somewhere?

I went to HK Hlavni Nadrazi (main train station), and just picked up the closest time of the train. Yeah, Pardubice (I was hoping it will be Pardubice haha; just because it will not be too far for 6-7 hours journey). I had done reading on this town sometimes before, hopefully it will not be a problem. I said to myself.

I don't have bus pass for this town, so, instead of spending money on that (I mean the tickets), I chose to walk. The 'district' of Pardubice is large but the town is not that big; so, just walk :) Pardubice town is just similar to HK, only the buses / trolley buses look kind of old. And I once heard that some seniors went to Pardubice for shopping, yea I think I understand why. More choices, more shops, more sales eh?

St. Bartholomew’s church (Kostel sv. Bartoloměje)

Do you want to know why we can see at least 1 clock tower in every town in Europe (?) I just discovered this not too long ago; just sharing with you guys. Clock tower is a tower with four clock faces - so, it can be seen from four different sides. It can be alone or as a part of church or town hall.

And the reason for the existence of clock tower was because about middle of twentieth century, most people did not have watches, and even clocks for the houses are very rare. At first, clocks were made without faces, so, people just focus on the sounded bells to be alert for the time to work & pray. They were always placed near town centers; usually as the tallest structures - so that the sound will spread well through out the town.

      Green Gate (Zelená brána)
Interesting fact - the tallest clock tower in the world is the one in Mecca and just few meters away form Masjidil Haram. Dunia akhir zaman bila manusia berlumba-lumba nak bina bangunan pencakar langit T_T

      Zámek Pardubice
Not sure what is inside; but is said to be museum with lots of exhibition. It opens until 18.00, and there is reduced price for students. I don't really have the time to enter, as I am more interested to enjoy the town itself.

      View from Zámek Pardubice

Josef Go?ár Winternitz Mills Pardubice - located at the bank of Chrudimka river. It is still in operation till now and their production are mainly on wheat & rye flour. Not open for public, so people don't have chance to visit it except just view from outside. T__T

I was walking along this river - Chrudimka (if I'm not mistaken) - on my way to Park Na ?pici. But the park was a bit far from the main road and the sun started to set, so I took a U-turn. The view was very nice, extra bonus with the sunset - managed to make me totally immersed into it.

Looking at the reflections on the water; suddenly I realised myself - everyday we will look at ourselves in the mirror. But how many times, do we really look at ourselves as other person - try to be someone else shoes and look at the image. Are we good enough, have we done anything wrong that we haven't realised?

Sometimes, try to think; do we want to meet ourselves?

      Pardubice Town Hall (Pardubická radnice)

Town hall from my understanding, is a place where the 'higher' people get together with the community to discuss almost everything about their town, and maybe about current issues and any problems that for sure require ways out.

Eastern Bohemian Theatre on Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky)

All in all, Pardubice is worth visiting for short trip, not only as a transit station in Czech :) Hihi.

Not to give up, no matter what life throws at you. Look around, people do have their own problems. Watch and learn, how people settle them; even if it is unintentionally  :)

      Warsaw, Poland (Part 3)

      February 21, 2014

2nd day - it was raining slightly in the morning; gloomy - dark, heavy clouds, unclear sky. Haih, what to do, we need to continue the journey. Tapi indahnya kalau dapat sambung tidurrrr.

      ----

We missed the bus again. It was not our fault, but that bus driver! How could he drove away a minute earlier from the stated time? T___T Spent 20minutes at the bus stop, yeah maybe Allah wanted to remind me that I have not read al-Mathurat yet. Alhamdulillah. Aha, I guess most of us know what is al-Mathurat, right? It is like compilation of du'a that we can recite everyday - morning and evening. :) Macam du'a beri kesihatan yang baik, du'a mintak Allah jagakan kita sepanjang hari. Try it, you will feel peace after that. Really.

The destination today, Lazienki Krolewskie (Lazienki Park), the largest park in Warsaw. What is interesting about the park? It was involved during Warsar Uprising which I mentioned in previous post - a bit destroyed. But the park and the palace were reconstructed after World War II.

It is really big; 67 hectares! For sure, we did not go to every inch of the park. ;p

      Chopin Monument.
If Austria is famous with its Schubert and Mozart, Poland is significant with Chopin; a pianist.

What I love about going to park - is the preserved nature itself. Being in four-seasons country; it is meaningless if I don't appreciate the changes in all four seasons. And now it is winter here (ending soon, I guess) - the trees with no leaves, depend totally on Allah to survive. Well, we learn about what the trees need in order to live? Water, sunlight etc. It is just amazing to see how the look-like-dying-trees start to bloom again when the spring is around the corner. :)

".....Not a leaf falls but that He knows it...... - 6:59

Do you know the exact amount of leaves in this world? We don't even know the exact amount of our own hairs!

MashAllah, He is the Greatest. He knows everything - the thing we express it out loud and also anything we kept to our heart with nobody knows about it. Except Him.

Journey to Poland will not be completed if we do not go to this kind of restaurant. Polish cuisine - the one that I can suggest; because I have try it - is the pierogi (dumplings). I'm not sure why they are considered to be traditional cuisine - as I thought dumpling is more famous in Asia - maybe China?

Just try it, yeah. More that 5 menu for vegetarians - so, you can just order each of them and experience the taste. :) Yummy. And healthy too; if you asked to boil them instead of fry. :p haha

      Pierogi - cheese

I would like to declare one thing about a part of my previous post - eating meat in Poland. I just read news about there will be no more halal and kosher slaughter methods used there. Plus in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

      Reference - http://www.worldbulletin.net/news/128887/denmark-to-ban-halal-and-kosher-slaughter-methods

Yeah, my travelogue to Warsaw, Poland will end here. Alhamdulillah for the journey of improving myself.

Warsaw; it may look like a modern city; maybe like Kuala Lumpur - but it worth going if you set your niat right, insyaAllah.

Lets discover the other parts of Poland soon! <3
