50 KM in 21 Days Done!

      December 5, 2017

This challenge ended weeks ago and I already received my medal before December :D

This post is just as appreciation and to congratulate myself on trying my best to be discipline in keep running for a total of 50 kilometers within 21 days. :) It was hard, honestly - from time management, energy, laziness, other priorities, other attractions etc but alhamdulillah while doing this, I manage to maintain my weight since I returned home for good. Yeay!

Well, not to gain weight at home is such a bless!
      Despite all these yummy food.

      Alhamdulillah!
Towards more medals and most importantly, towards good health and healthy lifestyle. Ameen.

      Halloween Virtual Run (Oct 2017)

      November 9, 2017

      First virtual run :)

Actually I registered the 21Day Challenge Nov 2017 earlier than this Halloween Virtual Run but seems like I need a motivation to run and this one sounds good.

I targeted to join 5 or 10km for this but I have no idea how it works that time and turned out I registered for 3km.

      3km pun 3km lah :D

      The medal.

Just few days ago in this week, Ayah received a letter on behalf of me. A bit confused as I think I did not buy anything online recently. Haha.

But, hey, it was the medal! I have already hung it in my room, not sure to keep it like that or will put it into storage box like all my previous medals too. -_-' Or maybe I should buy the medal hanger?

      :)

Anyway, this is my progress on the 50km-in-21-days mission.

      Day 9 | 20.54km out of 50km

      29.46km to go.

Few points I re-learned so far:

      • My average pace has improved a bit compared to when I was in Czech. It used to be always be above 7min/km back then.
      • 6-7 minutes for 1 km, so I tried my best to finish 1 km for every two songs I listened to.
      • Zikrullah for every steps. It helps to keep me able to speak while running - it is my benchmark that I am still running fine.
      • The best way to keep running (if indoor) is to watch videos. I gained both entertainment and exercise.

      Fighting, Nina!

Let's Join Me in 21Day Challenge Nov 2017

      October 26, 2017

I really want to join any official running events in Malaysia but seems like it is quite hard to find good venue and time. There are at least two websites I would love to share here if you are interested to know any events around you.

I can say there are lots of events organized around Malaysia EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND but mostly are around KL, Selangor, Putrajaya etc. Since I frequently travel to the capital city on weekends for some medical courses, I just don't feel like travelling for this running purpose.

Meanwhile around Perak, hmmm just a few running events here and there but mostly I am not available for them.

Soooo. I will share with you an alternative!

      21Day Challenge Nov 2017
      The poster

Hahaha it is not that you can run virtually in your dream or whatever. It is still official but can be done anywhere, anytime you like.

I will copy and paste here more details about this specific running event coming very soon this November.

This is how the medal looks like.

If you are interested and would like to know more details on how it is being done, click the link below.

Just rough explanation about the challenge:

      • You can choose any category you want to join - either 20km, 50km, 100km or 200km.
      • No cut off time needed - means you can run at any pace you are comfortable with.
      • It can be done in one / many run.
        • For example, if you registered for 20km - you can run 20km at once or divide the distance into few days. Maybe 2 km per day so by day 10th, you will finish the challenge of 20km. Same goes to other categories.
      • Just use any running app (on your phone) like Nike+, Samsung Health, Running Keeper.
        • Pedometers are not allowed!
        • Then, every time you run, upload your progress at your dashboard.
      • The fee of RM 29.90 is for the finishers' medals (including delivery within Malaysia.

Well, this is actually my first attempt.

      50km in 21 days!
      FIGHTING NINAAAA.

Wish me luck! And if any of you would like to join me, feel free to let me know. I would love to know some new running buddies even though we can't motivate and cheer each other up offline. Well, via Whatsapp is okay what...

My First Official Run in Czech :D

      May 18, 2016

Wohooo, alhamdulillah, finally I had a chance to run officially here! :)

Run Tour Czech 2016 - Hradec Kralove, Czech
I was searching hard for my name there, but... maybe my name is too long to fit there. T_T

Well, to those who read my posts before, I shared how happy was I to be a finisher in Free Run for Fit Malaysia, Ipoh. I learned many things as well last time. Click here to read my experience for that run :D

Since then, I look forward for more runs, in Czech. It was autumn when I returned to Czech after months of summer holidays back home. It was getting windy at that time, I was busy with my study as well, trying to adapt back after holidays' mood.

And there you go, my first official run in Czech!
      30th April 2016.

As usual, I always invite other people to join as well. But.... T_T sadly, there was no one who was able to join. So, I took the courage to just register despite knowing I will be running alone. Haha.

This was how the event look like :)

The event generally started at 8 am, but the session for 5 km run (I registered for this) began at 12 pm. Since I haven't collected my starting kit, I went there earlier. Basically, I received a bag - with a snack bar, a mineral bottle, lots of pamphlets, and what else... I can't remember right now.

Oh well yes, the registration number!

The paper was unique enough with something at the back. It feel just like double sided tape, but it actually contained a chip to record my official time for the run. Since this was kind of new to me, I still keep the paper safe on my wall of memories :)

A selfie before my run. Look at my supporters. Lol. Rasa poyo pulak ada supporters bagai.

Atan came as well! :D Wohooooo. He was quite famous on that day, as he was the only cat at the event. Haha. So many people want to touch Atan especially the kids.

      Ko?ka. It simply means cat.

Seeeee. Atan was so attractive, which made us into a center of attraction as well. :).

      11.45am

Calling for 5 km runners. And while waiting for the start here, I met my classmate, Matt. He was excited to see the GoPro, he thought I was going to record my run. Lol. Maybe next time.

The picture above is the official one. I can't remember the location but, looking at the bottle that I was holding, I think it was after 2 km. Actually, I am not a person who drink a lot while running. Just, I don't feel good to simply throw away the bottle on the road. Well, yeah I knew there will be some people who worked to collect those rubbishes after the run. But....

      The medal

Alhamdulillah! I managed to finish the 5 km run with unofficial record of 35 minutes. The official one came out later at night with this electronic certificate (Czech people call it diploma). Wohoo, my new personal record - 5 km for 34:46.

My ranking for that run was number 495 out of 540+.

Hahaha, while Matt was the top 50 from above, here I was; the top 50 from the bottom.

Overall, it was a nice event - with wide ranges of people; from babies to children to teenagers to even old people. Even the kids have their own run - 1 km :D

A thing that I have realized (again and again) is.....
.....how small am I and how short my legs are.

      Lalalala.
